It's safe to say that I've never been to an Easter Egg Hunt quite like this one before! There were no cute little summery Easter outfits, and colored eggs nicely tucked in green grass. Nope, not this year! Instead, the eggs were thoughtfully scattered on top of a foot of frozen snow. Many kids were dressed in full on snow gear...oops! Snow pants just just escaped my mind when we headed out for this year's Easter egg hunt.
No matter the conditions, the boys were EXCITED! Macallan watched happily from my backpack, so sorry...he's not pictured, but he was there!
They wished each other luck before splitting up into their age appropriate assigned areas.
...and they're off!
They both returned with baskets full of eggs. But of course, Mitchell had to count both baskets to make sure they had equal numbers of eggs.
They happily headed home with their Easter loot!
No Easter is complete without a trip to visit the bunny himself :)
While the boys were happy to see the furry guy, they really don't get too into the thought of the Easter Bunny. In fact, Mitchell said "Soooo, you want me to believe that the Easter Bunny gets some money somehow, goes to the store, and buys me things to bring me on Easter?" Then he stuck out his little finger and poked me while saying "I KNOW who buys me those things!" To which, I neither confirmed nor denied. Oh, that little guy is a thinker!
