Happy Easter!

We visited the Easter Bunny at Crown Center yesterday.

Mitchell was a big fan....

...but Maverick wasn't.

The Easter Bunny was a busy guy because he also made a stop at our house and left behind baskets filled with candy!  The boys enjoyed having chocolate eggs for breakfast!

Before....

.....After

Next up......meet the neighbor kids for a good ol' Easter Egg Hunt!

Way to get'em, Mitchell!

Of course, he had to stop and investigate the contents of a few before moving on to get more.

Why am I carrying this bag around?

Checking out his loot

Easter is LOTS of fun!

Easter has become one of my favorite holidays!

Back in Action!

The weather is finally nice enough to take pictures outside again, so photography is back in action! Here are 4 of my favorite shots from a photoshoot with Taby & Dylan (good, good friends of mine!) I hope she likes them! :)

Where have you been?

My Mom and David were kind enough to watch the boys while Jacob and I had a little get-away.  We flew to Maine, packed up a moving van with furniture from Jacob's Dad & Diane and drove it back to Kansas City.

We made a vacation out of it....and stopped along the way in Philadelphia to visit Jacob's brother.  We then drove on to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in time for Pirates Opening Day!

Look at that view from the stadium!

In the foreground is a fun little 'ride' from lower Pittsburgh up a mountain to a viewpoint location.

Here we are at the top.

Next.....on to Louisville, Kentucky!  We absolutely loved Louisville.  There were so many fun things to do and see that we plan to go back!

This picture cracks me up because it totally sums up Jacob on vacation.  "According to my watch we're going to be late, hurry up!"

On our way into Churchill Downs, the Horse Racing compound.

Inside Churchill Downs....we are huge Derby fans, so this was so fun for us.  Oh, how I'd LOVE to go to a Derby someday!

...but until then, we look forward to our annual Derby Party!

The huge Louisville Slugger bat outside the museum.

Jacob up to bat with Mickey Mantle's bat.

Ever wonder how they cut bats out of trees?

You could call this one the boy inside the man or the man inside the glove, take your pick.

It was a great get away.  We missed the boys like crazy, but some time away was really nice too!

The boys thought the moving van was a lot of fun!

We were happy to get home, and are excited to have some nice dining room furniture among other things!

Kelli's Bachelorette Weekend!

Kelli's (my sister) wedding is quickly approaching at the end of the month!  She came into town with a group of girls for a fun bachelorette weekend!  Most of the girls hadn't been to KC before, so we showed them the town :)

We went to the Royal's game on Saturday afternoon.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day and the Royal's even WON!

Here is Kel with her two new sister-in-laws, Kelly and Dana.

Kel and her good friend, Emily.

As you can see, there were lots of laughs :)

I think she had a really good time...I know I did :)

My Dad joined us for the game too.  Here he is with his 3 daughters.

The view of the game was nice from under his new hat.

Kel's good friend from KC, Maggie, joined us for the game too!

She had to have a fun margarita drink!

Here's our crew at the game.

Mustard won Saturday's hotdog race.  I had to get a pic of Kel with them

The whole crew at the game.

We went to P&L for the evening.  Fun times!

The countdown 'til the wedding is on!!!!!!!!!!!
