The Easter Bunny makes his stop!

The Easter Bunny made his stop at our house this year to surprise the boys!

Do you think they were happy with their loot? :)

The bunny hid their baskets.  Maverick was excited to find his under the dining room table.

Mitchell is a BIG fan of Mario & Luigi lately, so he was happy to have new PJs, shirts and even a Mario Wii game!
All Four Folks Boys

Macallan enjoyed his first Easter too!

He is the happiest little guy :)

He sported the first Easter bib and bunny hat that Grammy & Grandpa Folks sent!

We all enjoyed our quiet Easter at home before a great evening church service.

Easter in Lincoln

We spent the Saturday before Easter in Lincoln, NE visiting my Dad's side of our family.  It is always so great to catch up with everyone!

Welcoming committee of one -- Uncle Mark.

The boys had a blast with the annual Easter Egg hunt.  Bad Momma forgot their baskets, but plastic bags did the trick!

I think Jacob is sampling the candy below :)

Oh, The Things They Say...

Our kiddos continue to keep us enteratained by the things they say and do...some recent ones for your entertainment....

Mitchell said "I REALLY love you, Mommy.  You are the only one that I let wipe my bottom."  Ahhhhh, how endearing!

Mitchell asked me to roll down the windown at Sonic, so that he could introduce himself to the carhop as follows "Hi, how are you?  It's nice to meet you.  My name is Mitchell.  What is your name?"  She responded "My name is Hayley.  Ummm....how old are you?"...a little shocked that such a succinct introduction came from someone of his age.

For the first time ever Mitchell slammed his fingers in the car door :(  Luckily, he hasn't hurt himself much, so this was probably the worst pain he'd felt since he can remember.  The sight of blood really scared him and he wailed "Mommy, PLEASE don't let me DIE!"  Of course, this melted my heart as I hugged him and promised him that he wouldn't be going to heaven today.

Luckily, Mitchell doesn't know any cuss words...except for "damn", which he said the other day.   I scolded him for it to which he quickly responded, "I mean like the dam the beavers make!"  Oh, my this kid is his father's son!

Little Maverick is starting to have some funny quotes of his own.  We get lots of comments on his deep, raspy little voice.  The girls at the gym live for his deep voiced "bye, bye girls" each time we leave.  My favorite gym quote is when he tells me "Mommy, I missed you!" as soon as I come to pick them up!

He is talking non-stop these days, and I understand about 90% of what he says...the other 10% can usually be interpretted by his big brother.  Mitchell asked for me to tell him a story while we were driving the other day.  Maverick started saying something I couldn't quite make out.  "What is he saying, Mitchell?"  Mitchell says "He's asking for the three little pigs story."  I guess it is now a family favorite :)

Maverick and Mitchell love to tell eachother knock, knock jokes too.  They hardly ever make any sense at all to me, but they crack each other up, which in turn makes me laugh!

I'm happy to report that our laughs and smiles continue to outweigh our time-outs and scoldings (although sometimes it doesn't feel like a victory!) Whew...these boys give us a run for our money, but man are they fun to be around!

Macallan is 5 months old!!!!

It was too hard to pick just a few cute pictures of Macallan as he reaches the 5 month mark, so you get a bunch :)  Jacob said it the best the other night when he said "Macallan is just easy to love, isn't he?"  He is SUCH a good baby to us!

He loves being outdoors as much as his brothers do...and boy are we happy to have some nice weather to enjoy this spring!

The older boys continue to be super fans of their little bro...and so does his mommy & daddy!

Tummy time is paying off!  This little man prefers to play on his tummy now-a-days rather than his back!

Here's his superman move.

I'm not sure if his face is a reaction to my coaxing or Pilot goosing him in the background!

He also has started a daily exercise regime of push-ups.

"Read the shirt, man!  I'm 5 months old!"
"

And finally the monthly chair picture.  He may slightly resemble his brothers, but he is certainly unique too!  I love his quirky little features like his spiky hair & ears that stick out a tad.  My sister asked when I was going to start training his hair to lay down...I responded "never".  It's too cute!  He may hate me for that later in life :)

Little Artists!

Thanks Grammy & Grandpa Folks for the finger painting kits!  We had so much fun playing with them in our driveway!

Maverick wasn't quite so sure what to think of them at first :)

I wasn't successful with getting Mitchell's clothes off before the fun began, but he was actually fairly clean!

Unlike his brother.....take a look at Maverick's hair!

Maybe he thought it was a hand painting twister set?

Their finished projects are now hanging indoors!

Dying Easter Egg Fun!

Mitchell and Maverick had a blast dying Easter eggs this spring!  Mitchell said "Isn't this something that I do with my Aunt and Uncle?"  He remembered dying eggs with Aunt Katy and Uncle Jordan TWO years ago...that kid has quite the memory!
