Wisconsin Trip

Here's a photographic tour of our recent trip to Wisconsin! We had a GREAT time and the nice weather allowed us to spend LOTS of time outdoors! In the first 12 hours since leaving, Mitchell has probably said "I want to go to Grandma's AGAIN" about 30 times :)

Here's Mitchell on his own personal Easter Egg hunt in the yard. Some of the eggs were really large. We got a kick out of Mitchell saying "Oh my goodness! It's a GIANT egg!"

Lawn mower rides with Grandpa are always a favorite! However when Aunt Kel referred to this as a lawn mower, she was quickly corrected by Mitchell. "It is not a lawn mower, it is a tractor."

Jacob spent most of the weekend at a bachelor party downtown Minneapolis and needed a little recovery time on Sunday. Maverick was more than happy to spend some quiet time with his Daddy.

We went to a cute local playground with a little wooden truck and train.

Although Mitchell enjoyed "driving" the little wooden truck, he assured us that he was "ready to drive it on the street now." Unfortunately, we couldn't quite accomodate.

The little bike he personally walked out of Target months ago (see story) got lots of road time.

He also REALLY enjoyed his little sandbox that Mom & David got for him last fall.

While little Maverick didn't spend nearly as much time outdoors as his older brother, he cuddled up with his Aunt Kel for a little fresh air.

...and his Grandma and Grandpa.
A little help was needed on the monkey bars at another local park.

Our bright eyed boy sure is filling out!

My mom and David have a golf hole in their front yard, so Mitchell was able to squeeze in some practice. :)

At one point, Grandpa said "Mitchell, you're not very good at this." Mitchell responded "I'm doing fine!"
But he could still use a little help from his Aunt Kel and Happy Dog.

Daily tractor rides were a favorite!

Maverick's becoming a pro at tummy time!

The little teddy bear enjoyed some cuddle time with his Aunt Kel.

Mitchell requested that his Grandpa sit down and watch an episode of 'Go Diego Go' with him. He has recently been saying "I have a sister, Alicia." because that is what Diego says in the show! I'm not sure Maverick would like that statement too much!

My Mom & David bought 10 new baby chicks for an Easter surprise. Mitchell thought they were lots of fun! I swear they doubled in size in the 5 days we were there!
Aunt Kel helped him hold a feathery friend.
....and Grandma too.
You can see them better if your head is INSIDE the cage!
The wooden kind is equally as enjoyable.

We'll already be counting down the weeks 'til our June visit!

Wow, what a fun place to visit! Will's going to have to make due with Grandma and Grandpa's in McPherson next week. They have dogs but no sand box or tractor or tricycle or all that other fun, fun stuff! :-)

Maverick is getting so big already! But he sure looks like a joy to snuggle with!
