Shorts season should also be called "bandaids on the knees" season. Mitchell is quite the climber. He makes a jungle gym out of just about anything, including our poor living room furniture!
He literally RUNS from me when he sees the camera coming. Ahhh...I knew the day would come :( As I posted earlier, we've enjoyed playing outside A LOT this past month....even in our rain gear!
"Mom, these boots are hard to walk in!"
Mitchell has a new OBSESSION with games (I'm blaming this one on his Aunt Katy). He isn't old enough to understand any of them, but he REALLY enjoys dragging them all out and spreading them all over the house.
This is how our kitchen floor looked this morning. Now picture me trying to clean up the tiny puzzle pieces with a tired, crying Maverick in one hand, yelling at Mitchell to try to make him help me. I literally had to stand up, take a deep breath and force myself to find the humor in the moment. I do that a lot these days! :)
Mitchell's toybox is over flowing with things to entertain him. He is sitting inside the toy box below; he 'caught' himself in his bug catcher.
Bathtime is still one of our favorite times! He refuses to get out until his fingers and toes are wrinkly. :) We really enjoy our bath letters that Gran got us for Christmas and are slowly learning our alphabet and numbers by sight.
He loves anything on wheels, as long as he can operate it independently. I often underestimate his coordination.
We LOVE playing outside with our sidewalk chalk. (Thanks Kari Knoblauch if you're reading this!) We can entertain ourselves for hours in the driveway, and are COVERED in chalk when we're finished, but oh well!

Love the new pictures...perfect timing! Mexico was great, but looking at these boys is wonderful!!!
Hilarious how he hates the pictures right now! Hopefully it's just a stage. . .
I admire you for even attempting the puzzle pick-up. Maverick can't crawl and get into them, and Mitchell was obviously nowhere nearby. . . sounds like the perfect opportunity to walk to another room and leave it all behind you! :-)
Glad Mitchell is enjoying the sidewalk chalk. Kate is really into hers too! :) My mom got her some sidewalk chalk stencils, they are big foam pieces made into stencils that she really enjoys if you need to spice it up some.
