I discovered that when our front door is not locked, our adventurous young son can open it himself now and let himself outdoors! Ahh!! Luckily Maverick and I were in the living room and followed him. It was SUCH a nice day! We explored up and down our street for a while...and as you can likely tell, Mitchell found many different mud puddles to play in and enjoyed "fishing" in them with the fishing pole/stick that he found. What a young explorer :)
After our exploration outdoors, we explored the bathtub!

Jacob has surgery on his deviated septum yesterday morning. Unfortuatunately his doctor said it was much more intensive than he thought it would be at the onset. He should be back to his old self in a few days, but is certainly a sight for sore eyes today :( I had to take the boys with me to pick him up and Mitchell didn't even recognize him :( "That's not my daddy." Once I assured him that it was in fact his daddy, he said "That's my daddy?" about 20 times.
I can tell Mitchell is a little concerned about him. We took a trip to the pharmacy yesterday and when we got in the car, Mitchell asked "What happened to Daddy's eyes?" I explained that the doctor fixed Daddy, and that was the end of the questions.
Jacob had hoped to return to work tomorrow, but I think he'll likely end up staying home at least one more day. It's BUSY having 3 boys to wait on!

My dad had that same surgery and it was much bigger of a deal than anyone anticipated. Hope Jacob gets well soon.
Love to all of you--To Jacob for a quick recovery, to Mandi for a lot of energy, to Mitchell for recognizing Jacob and to Maverick for enjoying the company.
