First trip to the Alley

We ventured to the local bowling alley for the first time with Mitchell this week. He LOVED it...let me clarify. He love it when it was his turn. He loved it for the first 7 or so frames (he lost interest after that and was more interested in the neighboring arcade)! I was glad it was a weekday afternoon because it was not very crowded. Even so, it was tough to keep Mitchell out of everyone else's lanes. He wanted to try them all!

Here is a video of his first frame ever :)

They really make it kid-friendly these days!

You've got to love toddler bowling shoes! When the lady asked what size, I said "probably the smallest you've got." She said they run as small as a size 6! Whoa - Mitchell is a size 9. I thought we starting him a bit young, but I guess there are some kiddos that begin even earlier!

His celebration dances were the cutest :)

Maverick was his typical relaxed self...taking in the action for the first game and snoozing through the second.

As you can see, Jacob was the big winner of our first game. I won the second :)

Despite numerous warnings, he threw maybe his largest temper tantrum yet when it was time to leave. He made a literal representation of the phrase "Take me out of here kicking and screaming!" I should've video taped that for your viewing nightmare! I guess he liked it :)

Thanks for being the guinea pig :) We have been debating doing this with Phoebe for a while but wasn't quite sure if she was old enough. Maybe we'll try it! Glad you had fun!

Please tell me Mitchell had bumpers to get that 73. I'm lucky if I bowl that! Has he been practicing on the Wii?!

What fun!!! It's no wonder Mitchell didn't want to leave.

I agree, the bowling shoes are cute.

Glad you had a good outing.
