We are SOOO blessed with family, and they showed up in full force to come welcome our newest little gal!
My dad was our first out of town Jovie visitor. He was excited to meet his seventh grandchild in a matter of five years. Family gathering have changed a little the last few years :)
(Jovie 2 weeks)
Jacob's Mom made her first trip to Minnesota to visit and meet Jovie! We used to be within driving distance from them when we were in KC, but Oklahoma to Minnesota is a little too far for an easy drive! We were so excited to see her and REALLY enjoyed her trip! She was EXTREMELY helpful, always pitching in to help with the kiddos or house duties too! I have to admit, I was a little spoiled that week :)
(Jovie 3 weeks)
Next up were Jacob's sister and brother in law, Katy and Jordan. The kids are still talking about their visit, asking when they are coming back. Katy spent countless hours giving Macallan undivided attention, something he desperately needed right after his baby sister just bumped him out of his pecking order. The older boys LOVED playing video games with Jordan! Katy and Jordan were able to celebrate both Christmas and Mitchell's birthday with us, so their visit was well timed!
(Jovie on Christmas day - 4 weeks)
Jacob, Katy and Jordan took all three boys snow tubing on Mitchell's birthday! Here's a pic from the mountain. They had a great time and I got lots of Jovie snuggles at home, time to finish Mitchell's cake and a little rest too! :)
The Chalfies and Bablers came to visit us for the first time in Minnesota over New Years! It was pretty much a week long lock-in. We rarely left the house (it was COLD!) Jill made a meal plan and cooked her little heart out. We all indulged in lots of food, drinks, games, and laughter. It felt so good to be back together again!
Grace Chalfie (almost 4) with Jovie (5 weeks)
Last, but certainly not least, was a trip from Jacob's Dad, Diane and Connor. We gave the gift of an old fashioned haircut and shave at a local barber shop to the men, so they are showing off their new grooming below :)
Jovie got LOTS of Grammy time over the long weekend :) I got lots of Diane time too, something that doesn't always happen when we are together with the entire family during our summer trip! She helped counsel me through thinking about putting Texy down :(....and provided me some much needed motivation to get some baby weight off!
