Mitchell was double checking that we could carry him on the airplane. :)
This was Maverick's first flight! Coicidentally, Mitchell was also 5 months old the first time we flew with him. Both boys were GREAT travellers. It was MUCH easier than we expected. Here they are both sound asleep. Ahh....
Mitchell actually requested that Maverick ride the rocking moose with him. He seems to be more and more intersted in doing things with the little guy now that Maverick is getting more mobile.
Introducing Mitchell's partners in crime...his cousins Reade (almost 6) and Riley (4). The three of them entertained eachother for the entire week!
We took the boys swimming at a local lake beach. They had a blast! They kept running and jumping off of the dock that you can see to the right. They really wore themselves out!
They also loved building sand castles!
They were very "helpful" in the kitchen. Here they are helping Aunt Katy and Aunt Skyler (Jacob's 2 sisters) cook a birthday cake for Reade & Riley's Mommy.
Maverick got his fair share of time in the kitchen too...bathing in the kitchen sink that is.
The younger generation is a little testosterone heavy! Six of the last 7 family additions have been boys!
Mitchell and Riley were on an unsuccessful hunt for our smashed pennies on the railroad tracks.
Maverick has most definitely "found his voice" and he likes to exercise his lungs daily. Not crying....just happy yells to let us know he's there! Reade wasn't much of a fan of the noise!
Riley was a big fan of his newest little cousin! They share the same birthday - January 31st!
The kids had a great time with the sparklers on the 4th.
The adult guys shot off some heavy duty fireworks too for us all to enjoy.
Mitchell started to get REALLY tired by the finale!
I meant it when I said that Mitchell and Riley were inseparable!
Grammy & Grandpa bought both boys "Maine" t-shirts. Here's Maverick modeling his!
Jacob & Mitchell enjoyed a canoe ride on the lake. You have to look close to see Mitchell. He's sitting down in the bottom of the boat.
I LOVE kayaking on the lake. It was so peaceful...a description I haven't used for a while!
Jacob and his Dad enjoy some time by the lake.
You can't go to Maine without eating some lobster! Diane is the master lobster cooker...and peeler.
Here is the whole fam (minus the kiddos) enjoying the lobster dinner. Beware of flying shells and juices!
Reade's trip highlight was his 4-wheeler. He let Mitchell jump on for a picture.
Riley & Mitchell spent hours climbing around on a pile of rocks playing "King of the Rocks". Cheap entertainment!
Needless to say, the 4th of July FUN wore us all out!

What a beautiful kitchen! And a gigantic lobster! I was hoping for another baby in the (cold, clean) lobster pot picture. :-)
