Why sugar coat it.........I got laid off. Ernst & Young decided it couldn't afford to support a local recruiting group in Kansas City, so my group was eliminated. The news was delivered in mid-March and I've spent the better part of the last month and a half just letting it sink in. I am back at work for this week to help transition my duties off to the regional recruiters who will now cover my old schools.
Having had some time to process the news, I am still a bit undecided on what my next steps will be. I'm considering a few different paths including a part-time recruiting job that I was rececently offered. My lead partner that I worked with at KU seems to be pushing me to join their accounting faculty, or even apply for their PhD program...ah, what to do?
I have LOVED my time at home with the boys and also feel inclined to try stay-at-home mommyhood for a while. We'll see!

NO!! I was awaiting your next ISU recruiting trip to Ames. :-( Good luck with whatever you decide to do. You'll be successful in anything you do.
