Good news: Mitchell slept from 7pm to 7am STRAIGHT last night! Yeah!
Bad news: He's still not quite back to his happy go lucky self :( He will barely let me set him down! We barely got anything done this weekend since I'm carrying him around 100% of the time! I'm not sure if it's:
1) the teeth (the 4th top tooth has almost broken through)
2) the age (did he just reach the magic age where he realizes that he doesn't like to be separated from us)
3) did the single "night of abandonedment" cause this anxiety? :( The three of us were playing in his room yesterday afternoon and Jacob walked out of the room and Mitchell started BAWLING and wouldn't quit until he came back in...eventhough I was in there the whole time. Eh! I hope this passes soon!
I suppose it could be a combination of the three!
My Dad, Sherri and I took Mitchell on a short road trip to Westin on Saturday. We were going to go to the Applefest, but the traffic was so bad that we ended up visiting the State Park instead.
Jacob's parents made a day trip to KC to pick out some new furniture at the furniture mecca...yes, Nebraska furniture mart. Although their trip was short, they squeezed in a nice dinner out with us and some quality time with Mitchell.
We had hoped to do a few other fun things on Sunday, but we ended up spending the morning at the doctor's office. Mitchell was sick while were in Seattle and Jacob and I have been trying fight it off....but it finally got the best of Jacob. The doctor said that he has either strep or tonsilitis, but either way he spent Sunday on the couch, while I fetched him what he needed with a 25lb kid attached to my hip. Fun, fun! He started a z-pack of antibiotics today, so hopefully he'll be good as new soon!

I hope that Jacob feels better soon! And don't worry - Mitchell will be back to his old self soon! He is just trying to get you to cave in! :) But obviously all of your hard work is effective - 12 hours straight of sleep (woo hoo)!
Probably a combo of #1 and #2. If he's sleeping at night, he has forgiven you for the bad night. Next trick...Tylenol or Motrin. I always knew it was teeth when the dope made an improvement in Madison's mood.
