Aunt Kel has become a great concierge on our latest trips to Wisconsin. Last time she took us to the zoo -- this time to one of the local apple orchards.
We had such a great time! Mitchell really enjoyed the trip, especially the hay ride (below)!
Isn't this picture just priceless!?!? He was having the greatest time playing with all of the apples as we were picking them.
They even had a little playground and petting zoo area. Mitchell and Grandma had fun swinging!
After we finished picking apples, we headed for the raspberries. We let Mitchell play with those too....but they were MUCH MUCH messier than the apples! He was covered in yucky red goo! It didn't really bother me, I knew he'd clean up...but if any of you are Jon and Kate + 8 fans, it's the sort of thing that would've thrown Kate into a hissy fit!

I have gotten better with the mess thing...I can let much more go than before. I love these pictures...even if it took 7 wipes and a gallon of Spray-n-Wash to fix him up! :-)
I love it! Messy Mitchell is particularly hilarious. You have me very excited for my upcoming Wisconsin Apple Fest trip!
You're right though - Kate didn't even want to let her kids decorate birthday cupcakes with frosting for fear they'd get too messy! Boo!
Mitchell looks so intent with the raspberries--I love it!
