Hollywood Studios

Our second day at the parks was spent at Hollywood Studios!

Jacob took Mitchell on The Hollywood Tower ride...Mitchell vowed to NEVER go on it again!  It scared the little guy :(

Maverick got as close as he possibly could to the couple in front of us during the Disney Junior stage show.  He looked so cute with his little hands clasped behind his back :)

We often paired off as Jacob/Mitchell and Me/Maverick.  Although he is MUCH more independent than he used to be, Maverick is still a mommy's boy at heart.

Both boys really enjoyed playing on the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" playground.  Here is Mitchell on a huge Film slide.  Remember film? :)  Coincidentally, we decided we should watch this movie with the kids...and wouldn't you know Aunt Katy bought it for Mitchell for his birthday!

We bought light up guns for the boys to play with during the nighttime parades/shows. As we were walking with them down the street, the Toy Story soldier stole it and started a gun fight with Maverick.  Trip highlight :)

We did a first this trip...we made a trip to the grocery store and packed a small cooler of snacks and lunches for each day.  In fact, for three of the five days, we literally didn't spend a dime at the park excluding our tickets (which are PRICEY enough!)  This day was an exception.  The boys were treated to a pirate treasure chest cupcake snack...it was too cute to resist!

Hollywood Studios has the BEST Christmas light display.  We took part in the nightly lighting ceremony.

The nightcap for the evening was Mickey's Fantasmic show.  It is an amazing light and water show.  If you look closely, you can barely make out Mickey Mouse with his red robe and blue wizard hat on top of the mountain.

We all really enjoyed the day!

Magic Kingdom

We were so excited for our day at the Magic Kingdom.  Each time we go, we seem to find something new to do or see!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip!  Oh, how I love my little mouseketeers!

We attended Disney's Christmas Party, which is a special event that they host in December.  It starts at 3pm, so we enjoyed a relaxing morning before going to the Magic Kingdom.

We rode the ferry to the park.  Mitchell looked back to inform us that we were almost there!

Maverick was in HEAVEN because he LOVES looking at maps!  He was sure to grab 1 (or 4) at every park we visited!  I couldn't get enough of watching him stare at his map perched atop Jacob's hand with Mitchell in tow. :)

Mitchell and Maverick were incredibly well behaved on the trip.  They were so entertained with the adventures that they barely bickered at all.  We were really able to enjoy this time with them!  Mitchell is helping Maverick put on his mickey sticker :)

 The Buzz Lightyear ride was probably the boys favorite ride!  You shoot your "gun" the entire ride and try to hit targets.  Just up their alley!

For the holidays, they dress the castle up to be an "ice castle".  It is beautiful!

 Maverick LOVED driving his own car.  I'm not sure he's ready for the road yet!

We were lucky enough to travel to Disney the same time as one of my friends and her family from Kansas City.   It was nice to see some friendly faces!

It was a long, exhausting day....exhausing day of fun, fun, fun!

SeaWorld

Our first stop on our Florida trip was SeaWorld, and who better to welcome us but Shamu himself!

 Mitchell got really up, close and personal with Shamu! :)

 Our little Maverick wondered around the park like a 70 year old man.  Hands clasped behind his back, gracefully checking out the scenery.  We enjoyed watching him - ha! :)

Petting the stingrays was one of my favorite things when I was a kid!  I think our boys would rate it  pretty high too! 

It did rain some, but not enough to ruin our day.

Our double stroller got another workout on the trip.  Maverick used to nap (unconventionally) during the afternoon.

The boys were given a wooden whale tale necklaces that they still wear!

Baby dolphins were the attraction here...oh, the were so cute!  The boys and the dolphins :)

The boys really enjoyed all of the rides!  No fear :)

During the Shamu show, the boys decided to go sit down in the splash zone.

I LOVE this picture of Maverick...it is SO him!  He's a little slower to warm up to people as compared to my extrovert, Mitchell.  He was talking to Santa, but it took him a little while to actually look at him.  I love it :)

SeaWorld was so beautifully decorated for Christmas!  It just made the day even more magical :)
