We had a great St. Patrick's Day and celebrated Kansas City style by heading to the midtown parade. The parade isn't necessarily known to be a "kids" parade, but I did a little research and found a fun children's area with bounce houses and balloon making clowns. The boys were in heaven!
Mitchell was a big fan of his balloons...all of them had popped by the time we got home. :(

We had a lot of talks about the fact that you get pinched if you don't wear green on St. Patrick's Day. Mitchell even had to call Grandma to make sure she was wearing green so that she didn't get pinched. :)
Mitchell woke up before Jacob left for work, and Mitchell didn't have green on yet, so Jacob chased him around the house and pinched (tickled) him. Mitchell must've liked it, because while we were on the way to the parade he said "I think I don't want to wear green because it seems fun to be pinched." Ha!
Mitchell also mentioned multiple times that "Patrick" is also the name of Spounge Bob Square Pant's friend (the starfish). I assured him that was NOT what we were celebrating! :)
We ended the day with a "driveway party" (yes, we have them often enough that we've named them) with our neighbors. Have we mentioned that we love our neighbors? The kids even ate dinner in the driveway....here they are having a screaming match.

I want to live next door to you.
But the spinach helps make Mitchell such a superhero!! Maverick will probably be eating it soon - if not already!
