It's hard to say goodbye....

....to the first house you purchased as a married couple.  Where you brought each of your boys home from the hospital.  If these walls could talk, they'd tell tales of a happy couple, becoming a happy family one child at a time :)  Yes, indeed, it was tough to lock the door, and drive away from this house.  But before I reached the end of the cul-de-sac, in the midst of my teary eyed moment, I looked in the rearview mirror at the boys.  They were already enthralled in their movie playing on the DVD player.  I looked over at Jacob, wondering if he was processing the same emotions as me...nope, he was fumbling with his phone, late to join a conference call for work.  So, I drove away in silence... watching our home grow smaller and smaller in my rear view mirror.  And then I realized, that the VERY best things about this house, is the people I share it with.  And they're all moving with me to Minnesota.

Now...if I could somehow transplant our neighbors, friends and my dad :)

No move to Minnesota is complete without a picture at the welcome sign!

Below is a picture taken by Mitchell during one of our many stops.

Thank to my mom, we were greeted with a nice sign upon our arrival to our new home!

I ran around the house and took pictures of each room.  They will be posted as "before" pictures once I have the "after" pictures!

And then it arrived.   The contents of our life, loaded into one huge moving van that took 3 days to unload!

We had lots of helpers to unpack!

"All of this stuff gives me a headache!"

The boys invented ways to make fun out of the mess! :)

All in all, everyone agreed that moving is EXHAUSTING!

I love that you even captured one of the dogs resting! It's true that as long as you're together, you'll make a new "home." But, I will say it's harder to get the Wildcat ingrained when you're not in Kansas!
